Prevision Medicine, a transformative precision oncology startup, has successfully raised $5.4 million in its Seed round. The funding will accelerate the commercialization of its groundbreaking functional precision medicine test for hematological malignancies and solid tumors.
The round was led by Swiss-based early-stage venture capital firm ACE Ventures. The strong investor syndicate highlights confidence in Prevision Medicine’s approach and included participation from GoHub Ventures, SICTIC, and prominent angel investors dedicated to advancing oncology and precision medicine.
Functional testing represents the next frontier in precision oncology. Prevision Medicine’s single-cell platform evaluates a patient’s living, tumor-derived cells against an extensive treatment library. By measuring direct cellular responses, the platform delivers actionable, personalized evidence that outperforms cohort-based treatment strategies in oncology. Backed by published clinical evidence, PrevisionOne helps support strategies for improved outcomes.
“Prevision Medicine is a pioneer in establishing functional precision medicine in the clinic, offering new hope for patients with cancer.” says Philip Zimmermann, CEO of Prevision Medicine. “With this funding and support from key partners, including molecular tumor boards and insurers, we are positioned to improve patient outcomes and deliver cost-effective cancer care.”
“Some of the biggest advances in cancer care could come from making better use of the medicines we already have. Prevision brings evidence from a patient’s own living cancer cells into the treatment decision. We led this round because we believe this team has the scientific depth and the experience to make that approach part of everyday cancer care.” says Steve Salom, Partner at ACE Ventures.
“Nearly half of cancer patients fail to respond to their first line of treatment. Prevision Medicine has made a clinically validated technique economically viable, one that identifies which drug will work best for each patient and therefore results in better treatment. Behind it is a team with deep scientific expertise and experience, whose members complement each other well, with a degree of alignment between science, product, and business unusual for a company at this stage.”, adds Pablo Perea, Partner at GoHub Ventures.
Capital deployment will drive key regulatory clearances and reimbursement coverage to make the test accessible to every patient. The capital will simultaneously fuel operational expansion across Europe, positioning the company to fulfill accelerating clinical adoption.
